Celebrities Love Their B12 Shots

September 17th, 2008    Posted by: admin

Many stars are a fan of B12 shots. Whether they are being treated for exhaustion, want a boost of energy, or for others to possibly help their natural ability in sports, they are getting their share of B12 injections.

  • July 2006 - Overheating? On the set of Georgia Rules, Lindsay Lohan was treated at a hopsital with plenty of water and a B12 shot.
  • In a previous article, we talked about Justin Timberlake getting a B12 shot by Madonna.
  • This past July, hottie Gerard Butler got a shot from Madonna. (She really must like giving those B12 shots). He was feeling ill and reported that it didn’t help him.
  • Prince reportedly gets a B12 injection before every performance of his.
  • Charlize Theron and Hugh Jackman have been reported as fans of B12 shots.
  • Ball player Roger Clemens says it’s B12 shots he uses, not sterroids.

I’m sure there are plenty of other celebrities who are fans of B12 shots. Is this just a fad in Hollywood? No matter what their reason for getting the B12 injections, they can help you by giving you a boost of energy, healthier skin, help reduce stress, and help with weight loss.

More on Vitamin B-12 Deficiency

September 4th, 2008    Posted by: admin

As we all know, Vitamin B-12 is found in animals and plants. Vegetarians are subject to deficiency of Vitamin B-12 because there is no intake of red meats which is high in B-12. Vegetarians should be taking a supplement or increasing their intake of green leefy vegetables to keep their B-12 levels up.

Did you know that your liver can store Vitamin B-12 up to 6 years? This can make it difficult to recognize the signs B12 deficiency. Results of Vitamin B-12 deficiency can include anemia, indigestion, mental depression, and being tired all the time. Did you also know that birth control pills, excessive alcohol, and excessive smoking can contribute to B12 deficiency?

You can consume foods such as red meats, seafood, cereals and breads too. You can take a supplement, do monthly B12 shots, or wear a patch to help maintain your B12 levels if you choose not to consume these types of foods.

HGH and B12 Popularity Among Celebrities

May 27th, 2008    Posted by: admin

There’s been so much talk in the entertainment business among high profiled celebrities whether they are in the music industry, sports world or are actors/actresses about human growth hormones and Vitamin B12 shots.

Recently Sylvester Stallone was interviewed on The Today Show about his use of human growth hormones (HGH) for an upcoming movie. Discussion of the use of HGH (an immino acid) was used for his role as Rambo and he was detained while out of the country in Australia. Sly talks about and defends it by saying “it takes off the wear and tear of your body” and helps expedite the process and “enhances” what’s already been accomplished by working out and that it doesn’t create an “instant” result.

Other cases of celebrity profiles for use of HGH enhancements are the husband and wife duo - Marion Jones and Tim Montgomery (both sprinters in the Olympics), Roger Clemens (former pitcher for the Yankees, Boston Red Sox and the Houston Astros) although denied), Andy Petitte (A current starting pitcher for the New York Yankees who admitted to the use of HGH), Jose Canseco (former slugger for the Oakland A’s) and the list goes on and on.

It also seems that B12 shots are becoming increasingly popular as a means to give a boost of energy. One would think celebrities are “promoting” the use of B12 injections because there’s so much hype about it.

This week a story broke about how Madonna said during her induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 10th 2008, that she administered a B12 shot to Justin Timberlake’s “back side” while in the studio doing a recording for her new album. He recalls when he was feeling ill and Madonna whipped out a Ziploc baggie full of B12 shots out of her purse and told him to “drop em” as Justin recalls but Madonna later corrected him and said she told him to “pull his pants down”.

Roger Clemens - B12 Injections

March 16th, 2008    Posted by: admin

Making the news in recent times is New York Yankees pitcher Roger Clemens and the allegations of steroid use for sports enhancing performance. Roger Clemens denies any use of steroids, however he does admit that he did use B12 injections (also known as Lipotropic injections) along with Lidocaine. As we know Vitamin B12 provides a boost of energy and some athletes tend to think that it provides an increase of oxygen supply to the muscles. This is argumentative as some feel that when B12 is injected in large quantities, it provides a quick boost or quick enhancement of performance for athletes. But, there is no evidence of this. Keep in mind that there are individuals who need to take Vitamin B12 supplements for legitimate reasons such as a person that has a B12 deficiency or those individuals who are vegetarian and need a supplement because they do not get the B12 through natural forms of meats, eggs, and dairy products.

*You should always consult your doctor or health care provider before taking B12.
